May 2026 saw our very own Provincial Junior Grand Warden, John Payne, preside for the final time at Bedeword Lodge No. 7274, bringing what he described as a fantastic year in office to a fitting close.

The evening also marked a proud moment for The Lodge of the Round Table No. 8424 as W. Bro. Kevin Elliott was installed into the Chair of King Solomon in fine style by W. Bro. David Smart. The ceremony was conducted to an excellent standard and set the tone for a memorable evening.

LORT turned out in force, with 15 brethren attending to support Kevin as he took the chair, demonstrating the strong friendship and connections shared between the two Lodges.

Following the meeting, the celebrations continued with a lively and jovial Festive Board enjoyed by all in attendance. With Kevin now at the helm, there is little doubt that Bedeword Lodge can expect plenty more visits from the brethren of LORT over the next twelve months.
